		<description>I think the most frequent mistake people make when attempting the Check part of PDCA is that they assume that Check is to &quot;see if you took the action you said you would take.&quot; They treat it like a project management task check-off. That&#039;s not the point. The purpose is to see if you got the result you thought you would get. It is not to validate action. It is to validate your thinking and your understanding of the current reality. Of course if you are guessing and just &quot;trying stuff&quot; then there is no understanding to validate.
