I would be interested in seeing your photos too, and if you could explain the logisitcs of how the progam works. We are in the process of “re-inventing” our layered audit program and need a lean, visual system.

Thanks for the comment! Management (or Leader or Leadership) Standard Work is key. As you say, the Management Standard Work must be layered – lean is largely a human system and thus fragile, without that redundancy it’s really difficult to sustain process adherence.

I am guessing that most of the Gemba Tales community has not seen a real Kamishibai Board, so your offer to share is awesome. If you’re up for it, shoot me some pics and I’ll post one or more of them. If you want to include text as well, I can post that. We can consider that a guest post.

I agree. You need to start with Management Standard Work. I set up a layered audit system using the Kamishibai Board as a visual management tool to display audits scheduled, and those that took place. Non conformances are logged and accountability assigned. I have photos etc if anyone is interested to see more.
